Shades of Autumn

Join Asmara Bellydance Initiative and special guests on November 12, 2023 at 3pm EST, at Rhythma Dance Studios, Atlanta, GA for the Shades of Autumn dance showcase!

We are preparing an enchanting afternoon to revel in the richness of diversity within our Raqs Sharqi (bellydance) community. Brace yourselves for an exhilarating event that will capture the essence of the season! The spotlight will shine brightly on BIPOC dancers, as we come together to showcase our undeniable talents and captivating performances that embrace dance styles extending from Southwest Asia and North Africa. We will also be streaming the show online so that you may watch it from anywhere in the world.

We hope that you will join us in this effort to make a difference and show support for our brothers and sisters in dance. We believe that, together, we have the power to promote, nurture, encourage, and celebrate the diversity of BIPOC dancers. Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at the Shades of Autumn showcase this fall.

The showcase will be family-friendly and light refreshments will be available. A recording will not be available afterwards.

TICKETS & DONATIONS

Ticket purchase for the showcase is only available through Just Belly Dance Events or at the door.
In-person tickets (thru Oct 28): $20
In-person tickets (after Oct 28): $25
Online (thru Nov 12): $15

Ticket purchase for the showcase at the door will be $25.

Online ticket sales for showcase closes November 12, 2023 @10am EST and watch links for the online option will be emailed by 1pm before showtime. Tickets will also be available at the door. Doors open @2:45pm EST.

OUR MISSION

We are a vibrant collective of dancers of color dedicated to Raqs Sharqi (bellydance), while promoting and funding shows and festivals that celebrate the dazzling diversity of Raqs Sharqi dancers of various backgrounds. Our aim is to empower and inspire BIPOC dancers, encouraging them to embrace their inner and outer beauty, and express themselves through captivating performances and education. We firmly believe in fostering a supportive environment, where performance showcases, teaching opportunities, fundraising events, and engaging panel discussions take center stage.
